Use our simple step-by-step guide to measure your body.
Give us some general information about yourself.
Measure around your neck just below your Adams apple. Place one finder between your neck and the tape to represent the space you require for your collar. We will construc your collar to this exact measurement.
Measure around the chest at its widest point. The tape should be tucked high under your armpits and sit approximately at nipple level.
Measure around your stomach with the tape sitting just above your hip bones. If you have a belly, measure it at the widest point, and do not suck it in.
Measure around the hip and buttocks at the widest point.
The length measurement should be taken from the top of the shoulder at the point near the neck, along the front of your body, to a point where you want the shirt to end. Stand up in a relaxed posture. This measurement is normally about 10cm longer than your arm length.
The arm measurement is taken from the corner point, where the arm meets the shoulder, down to where you want the cuff to finish. It is very important that you use this same corner point for both your Arm and Shoulders measurement as the two are closely related. It is better to make this measurement a bit longer rather than a bit too short.
If you have chosedn a short sleeve, measure from the top shoulder point down to the end of the sleeve.
The shoulders measurement is taken across the shoulders from one tip of one shoulder to the other. Be sure to measure right on the corner point, where the arm meets the shoulder. It is very important that you use this same corner point for both our Arm and Shoulders measurements as the two are closely related.
Measure from the top of the shoulder, down the front of the shoulder, under the armpit and back up around to the top of the shoulder.
The biceps measurement should be taken around your upper arm at the widest point. Do not tighten the tape measure.
Place the tape measure around your wrist it the narrowest point.
Measure across the cuff at the end of the short sleeve, as shown in the photo. We will make the finished shirt to this size.
The collar measurement should be taken from the outer edge of the buttonhole to the center of the collar button when the collar is spread flat.
Measure straight across the chest from one armpit to the other. Do not stretch apart the shirt when taking the measurement.
The waist measurement should be taken across the width of the shirt at the narrowest point.
The hips measurement should be taken accross the bottom of the shirt at the end of side seams. Do not stretch the shirt apart too much when taking this measurement.
Measure from the seam at the top of the shirt down the edge at the bottom of the shirt. This measurement is normally longer than your sleeve length.
The sleeve length measurement should be taken from the shoulder/sleeve seam along the upper edge of the sleeve to the edge of the cuff.
The shoulder width measurement should be taken between the shoulders at the sleeve seam.
The arm hole measurement should be taken as a straight line from the shoulder/sleeve seem to the lower corner where the sleeve meets the body.
Measure straight across the bicep, and start 3 inches down from the armpit seam.
The cuff measurement should be taken when the cuff is spread flat. Measure from the outer edge of the cuff button hole to the center of the button.
